Design is so much more than making things pretty, especially in the world of business.

Design shapes the brand and the company culture. It drives new business, expands corporate reach with existing clients and helps internal partners communicate better. Dain Miller once said, “UI is the saddle, the stirrups, and the reins. UX is the feeling you get being able to ride the horse.”

I have ridden a variety of horses in my career, from small mom & pop jelly shops to Fortune 500 Corporations. Each horse rides differently and the ability to convey each companies’ needs is a key strength in the world of UX. Some demand high quality imagery, others demand strict legal and compliance standards, and some want to focus on the release of new products. This is what makes me well-rounded and stand out above all other jockeys.

The reason I love what I do, is that I have a real opportunity to make a difference. I use my upbeat nature, determination and keen eye for detail to drive success. In my world, there is no failure. Things may not always go to plan and design detours happen, but I am never afraid to embrace the unexpected.
